ABOUT

A stock market simulator built for the room it runs in.

The Trade House started from a simple observation: the interesting part of a market is its mechanics, and almost no teaching tool actually simulates them.

WHY IT EXISTS

Most attempts at teaching how markets work stop at a price that goes up and down. Participants learn to guess a direction, not to reason about supply, demand, credit, or what happens when a lot of people want the same new issue at once.

The Trade House was built the other way around. Start from the mechanics and let the drama come out of them. A stock moves because somebody bought it. An oversubscribed IPO genuinely cannot give everyone what they asked for. A bond you bought at a discount still redeems at par unless the issuer defaults. Once those things are real, a room full of people playing against each other produces a far better lesson than any slide can.

The result is used for college fests, corporate training days, investment club sessions and finance workshops. Anywhere the goal is for people to leave understanding something they did not understand that morning.

HOW WE BUILD IT

Mechanics, not theatre

It would have been easier to move prices on a timer and call it a market. Instead an IPO discovers its cut-off from the actual bid book, bonds are priced off yield with real discounted cash flows, and an index ETF is worth its constituents. If a participant already understands markets, nothing here should insult them.

Every event is its own market

A room is not a filtered view of a shared world. It is a separate market with its own instruments, rounds, participants and branding. Two events running at once cannot see or affect each other.

The organizer stays in control

The platform does not decide when the room sees the scoreboard, when the market moves, or when a round ends. The leaderboard lives in the admin console rather than on every participant’s screen, precisely so that showing it is a decision you make.

Nothing to install, nothing to configure

An event has enough moving parts already. Participants get a link and a password; organizers get a room that works out of the box and can be reshaped as far as they want to take it.
